Objective

Individual objectives and key results define how the team members are going to contribute to the team and company level objectives. The best practice is to identify 30% of the individual objectives bottom up and the remaining to align with company objectives.

  • Effective KRs are specific and time-bound, aggressive yet realistic.
  • Key result contains a metric with a start and target value.
  • Key Results measure progress towards the Objective — like a signpost that shows how close you are to your Objective.

Alignment

  • Alignment allows to align your objective with your team mate’s or the organization’s objective.
  • Aligning your objective will create better visibility on how you are contributing to the organization’s objective.
  • Alignment helps you to ensure that the workforce is aligned to work towards the Organization objectives.
